Project Details

Completed in 2013, this project consisted of the repair of the Tutoring Area at the Boys Dormitory (Building 570), following water damage from a fire sprinkler leak. Interior walls were fully removed, along with drywall at the exterior walls, ceilings, existing light fixtures and damaged insulation tfrom the water damaged space. Two new steel columns were added to support the existing roof structure, allowing the conversion of the three existing smaller spaces into one large tutoring and study hall with new electrical service & data/communications cabling to serve student computers. Also included were all new lighting fixtures, acoustic ceilings, wall & floor finishes and new wall & ceiling insulation to improve the comfort and usability of the space.
